Overview
Cyber QRG AI is an offline-first cybersecurity reference app. This policy explains what data is stored on your device, what data may be transmitted when you enable optional features, and your choices.
Data Stored On Your Device
- Downloaded content packs (offline reference data).
- App settings such as selected packs, appearance preferences, and configured Base URL.
- Optional AI Relay configuration (URL) and AI Relay token (stored in iOS Keychain if provided).
Network Activity
When syncing updates, the app downloads signed update artifacts from the Base URL you configure and verifies signatures before applying updates.
AI Features (Optional)
If you enable AI features by configuring an AI Relay URL and token, the app may send:
- Your prompt text.
- Relevant on-device excerpts/citations needed to answer the prompt.
The AI Relay may be operated by Cyber QRG AI or by your organization depending on your configuration.
What We Do Not Do
- No required account to use core offline reference features.
- No sale of personal data.
- No third-party advertising SDKs required for core functionality.
Security Measures
- Signed updates: verification prior to applying updates.
- Token protection: AI Relay tokens stored using iOS Keychain.
- Least-privilege: designed to function without collecting unnecessary personal data.
Retention
On-device data persists until you remove it (for example, uninstalling the app or deleting content packs). Any server-side retention for AI requests depends on the relay operator.
Your Choices
- You can use the app offline without enabling AI.
- You can disable AI features at any time by removing the AI Relay URL/token.
